An age of apathy, with just a splash of curmudgeon, would overcome the galaxy.  It was a time when large men needed to wear bright colors, and Cubans taught sideburns about Eddie Van Halen’s recent choices in footwear.   A time where flip-flops were considered “hip”, and sweatpant-shorts had come back into style…..  it was a carl-istic time;  the time of carls.  The hot carls, to be precise.  A special brand of carl to help restore hope, faith, and toasted cheese sandwiches to all, or two, of man.  Those carls, they sure do stuff….
