What Not To Miss In November

Latitudes Three Year Anniversary Party

I can’t picture the Eastside without Latitudes Cafe. I know it’s only three years old but it seems like an old friend already. I love the food and I mean I love it. Most people have no idea how much time, money and trouble the chef (yes they have a chef) goes too to create the daily dishes. I don’t have time to go into it here but you’ll be seeing it step by step soon on our site www.eastsidevibe.com via online videos.
It’s worthy of a network cooking show of its own but they’ll have to settle for one on our site for now.
Three years ago owner (Chris Hamm) had no idea his Milford creation would become so popular it would need two locations in just over a year. Now Anderson also claims the fame of being home to another Latitudes and it has taken on a life of its own.
What’s the secret to the success? How about the staff for one. Chris did a bang up job of hiring the most talented people in the business. That’s the backbone of any successful business. However, the key ingredient has to be the concept. Latitudes concept mixes modern decor with contemporary tapas food set against a backdrop of great local bands, fanatical bartenders and a marvelous martini by anybody’s standards. Anybody’s.
To celebrate three years and going strong Latitudes is working hard to create a party you won’t want to miss.
First off they booked
a world fusion DJ to get you in the mood for a world fusion cuisine. The chef is cooking dishes from several different countries and you can rest assured you won’t see anything like it anywhere. After the dinner Noisewater takes over the stage and keeps the feeling fresh all night long for the bar crowd. Happy Birthday Latitudes I hope you make a good wish because they definitely seem to have a way of coming true.

Sports Page’s Jello Wresting Girls

While all the other Eastside bars are booking bands and karaoke DJs the good folks over at the Sports Page are working hard to find new and better ways to get their female patrons to show some skin. Last month we showed you the best of the “Naughty School Girl” competition. If you missed the show but saw the article you may regret your decision not to attend. Have no fear.
Sports Page is dedicated to keep topping their past promotions so for November they have an even better event...
You know it, you love it, you need it. It’s green, blue, yellow, red, gooey and slippery, it’s Jello. Sports Page plans to squirt it all over some scantily clad sexy contestants and see what happens next. I’m no Nostrodomus but I can tell you now what’s going to happen next.
The crowds going to hoot and boo until the girls start putting every effort into ripping the clothes straight off their opponent that’s what. D.J. Sanchez will be MC/referee and he’s not going let any of these girls slack off on the action. If you’ve ever been to the Sports Page you already know how many girls are almost showing their cuties as it is. Strip a dozen of the hottest girls down, cover them in slick slimy Jello, throw in some Mystical, Jagermeister and the relentless taunting of DJ. Sanchez and you have a seriously sexy show folks. DeJaVu eat your heart out.
D.J. Sanchez can get it done too. He’s bringing in girls who are all brand new to the Sports Page. Just get a gander at the gams on these two.
During their “pre-show audition” they were in the restroom getting ready when they got into it and had to be separated.
Just imagine what will happen when they get all Jello’d up and turned loose!
You don’t have to imagine it, just show up on Wed. Nov. 21st (Thanksgiving Eve) and see it up-close and personal. Ladies come and join in, you’ll never make easier money.

Live Country Night At Rhinos

Rhinos has always been the place to see the best rock-n-roll the Eastside has to offer. Up coming acts include Enuff Z Enuff, The Menus, Dixz Highway, Rusty Griswolds, 4th Day Echo, The Whammies and My Sister Sarah just to name a few.
Eastsider’s love rock-n-roll but many are left hankering for some good down home country pickin’.
Well guess what, Rhinos is putting together an all country Wednesday night just to please the Toby Keith and Rascal Flatt fans.
Every Wednesday you can catch some live country acts that will get you steppin’ to the beat and singing to your beer.
I wish I could name names because the list is impressive. However the exact dates are still being confirmed as of the writing of this article. You can find out all the information on our site www.eastsidevibe.com, we’ll post the band list as soon as they get it confirmed. If you like country music your going to love Wednesdays at Rhinos. I for one think it’s high time somebody started booking live entertainment for contemporary country music lovers. Some of my favorite local bands play country and I always go see new ones I’ve never seen before. So far I’ve never been disappointed.
I know who Rhinos is booking and I know you won’t be disappointed either.
Some of the bands are local and some drive over an hour to get here. So regardless what your guessing you’ll never guess them all.
Bottom line is Wednesday’s in November are the days to get your big slick pick em’ up truck waxed up, shine your boots and break out your good hat. Get down to Rhinos and give the girls your best coon smile while your boot scootchin the boogie. I expect to see all ya’all out there in Owensville, Mt Orab, Williamsburg and Batavia at the shows.
I’ll be right there with ya singing “The More I Drink” right up front baby.

Tuesdays at Anderson Bar & Grill

You can find plenty to do on the Eastside during the weekends. You can even find a fun time on a Wednesday & Thursday. The whole Eastside of Cincinnati is littered with sports bars, karaoke nights, jammin’ bands and dance clubs. The weekends are always the best nights in any bar. That’s just the way it is.
That’s not to say that’s how it has to be though.
Any service industry worker can tell you they usually only get the opportunity to go out on Sunday-Tuesday (if at all).
If you fall in that category you’ll be pleased to know Anderson Bar & Grill has the relief you seek.
New for November Anderson Bar & Grill booked Back Beat every Tuesday.
Finding a band like these boys blasting out the Beatles on stage on a Tuesday night is like finding a diamond in the dog’s doo.
A rare find indeed.
I’m all for it. I too once slept the days away and shoved through the slop all night. I know what it’s like to see your schedule and it says Wed, Thurs, Fri, Sat, open-close, or open to 2nd out at best. Even if you could get off for a Friday you would never want too. That’s like paying a $200 cover to go to a bar instead of working at one. Your screwed either way. I’ve done it I know.
Here’s the catch. If you don’t show up and support the bar how can you expect ABG to keep booking a band you know and love for 100’s of dollars a night?
ABG is betting (with real money) that all the cooks, servers and bartenders out there who are going out this Tuesday will stop by and check out the band. They keep the drinks cheap and the kitchen open until midnight (plus 1/2 price apps from 10pm-12am) so what more can you ask for.
All they ask for is a chance to improve your Tuesday night view. What do you have to lose? Besides with Back Beat in the drivers seat you know it’s going to be a fun ride.
