Topeka, formed in 1983 has performed in many of the top clubs throughout the Cincinnati tri-state area. Topeka has been the opening act for David Allen Coe at the Cincinnati Gardens, as well as at Shawnee State College for Earl Thomas Conley, and has done live radio shows for radio station WUBE. Topeka has also appeared at the Cavalcade of Customs on the same show bill with Paul Revere and the Raiders, and a TV show for Kentucky Cable. Topeka had their first record in 1985, "It Ain't Love" written and sung by the late Cheryl Adkins. Topeka was signed with Nashville recording label Ark Records, "It Ain't Love" was picked as "Chart Potential" by Billboard Magazine, and came close to making the top 100 list, it was also ranked No.1 for the summer of 1986 for Portsmouth, Ohio radio station "WPAY". Topeka has also performed at many charity benefits over the years. The band performs a wide variety of music that spans the decades and touches many styles. Topeka has entertained at the past 3 annual "Old Boston Revival Concerts," and many private venues. This tried and true 3 member group continues to excite audiences with their lively performances, and truly demonstrate their life long love of music.
