Save Our Sub Bowl
The good folks up at Suburban Bowl are stumped. The Batavia bowling alley is in a slump to beat all others and there seems to be no apparent reason.
Think about it, first off it’s in Batavia, the county seat and local business black hole. There is literally nothing to do in Batavia but go to court, or get a pizza. You would think Batavia residents alone would keep Suburban Bowl open, let alone Williamsburg and Owensville residents. None of these burgs have any real entertainment to speak of, in fact Owensville and Williamsburg make Batavia look like “town”. Suburban bowl is smack dab in the middle of them all and has something for folks of all ages, day and night 6 days a week!
Look at it this way, Tuesday thru Friday it’s $1 a game (under 17) and $2 a game (over 17). Sundays are unlimited bowling for $10 (1-4) or $12 (11-2am). That’s a cheap thrill if we’ve ever saw one. You could haul the young’ns up there, spend a whopping $10 and they could bowl 3 or 4 games, and get a pizza & pop. Try that at Chucky Cheese. It will be more like $50 there. Seriously.
Adult folks can bring a date and a twenty and make a fun night of it. On the weekends the Club 11 is open. Fridays are karaoke and Saturdays are pure DJ. That’s more than anything else in Batavia has going on and then some.
In efforts to liven things up a little (or a lot) the owner has decided to turn the DJ loose and he’s planned some wild & sexy promos like Gay & Lesbian Night and a Swingers Night. He also has plans for jello wrestling and other sexy events.
They hope that will bring in much needed business but what they really need is simply the community’s support. Please make an effort to patronize Suburban Bowl just once this month. It’s a clean, fun, friendly, family owned & operated business that doesn’t deserve to go belly up like their next door neighbors (Ford). Stop by, spend just 10 bucks, have a laugh and discover the local bowling alley again. The AC is blowing, the balls are rolling and the juke box is rockin’. Prices are dirt cheap so what more can you ask for?
