Classic Cars, Trucks and Show Bikes gather on Front Street along the river banks viewing the beautiful Ohio River. There will be a live band, DJ, door prizes, 50/50 and plenty of fun! We will also be awarding a “favorite” trophy every Saturday night.

This annual Labor Day Weekend event will feature a bigger line up of music, games, booths, exhibitions, attractions and the world’s first ever attempt at a double motorcycle fire jump. Gene Sullivan will return along with stuntman Louis “The Rocket” Re, the world record holder at riding his motorcycle thru consecutive firewalls. Both will fly thru the air, over Calvary’s Hill and smash thru a burning wall of fire in this first ever attempted double motorcycle firewall stunt.
In addition to the jump and a new motorcycle rally ride thru Blanchester there will be children’s activities, food of all kinds, craft tents and exhibits. Main stage entertainment includes “ Blaine Bowman and HIS Goodtime Band” along with Elvis Presley’s former back-up singer and Hall of Fame member “Donnie Sumner”. Also featuring “Devona & the Demos and the Watchmen” and Contemporary Artist “Josh Bates”. Gymnastics and martial arts demonstrations will be on display as well as X-Game style competitions, magicians and clowns.

Sunflower Revolution cycling
event and festival in Old Milford.
The Sunflower Revolution was created
to improve the quality of life for people
disabled by Parkinson’s disease. Their goal
is to raise funds and awareness for research and
wellness.
The annual bike ride and festival weekend is in it’s 6th year. It is a collaboration of the Gardner Center at the UC Neuroscience Institute, the University Hospital foundation, and the Davis Phinney foundation. To date the Sunflower Revolution has raised 1.3 million to advance clinical research to benefit Parkinson’s disease patients.
You can participate by joining former Tour De France cyclist Davis Phinney (a Parkinson’s disease patient since age 40) and 1000 cyclist from the Tri- State area at the Sunflower VI bike ride. There are three classes: a 100K, 40K and 20K ride. The ride starts at Riverside II Park and continues through scenic Milford. Early bird registration is $80 per person if paid by Sept. 5th online and by Sept 1 by regular mail. Ride day registration is $85, family registration for ages 13 & up is $40.
Friday the 11th will kick off the festival in Milford and you can register at Bishops Cycles (6-8). Saturday you can register at Bishops (12-5) and watch the Sunflower Bike Parade. Sunday the 13th is ride day with registration at 6 AM at Riverside II Park (corner of Water and Locust streets). At 7:30 AM the 100K ride begins. At 9:00 AM the 40K ride begins and at noon the 20K ride gets started.
