Rooftop Comedy Productions Releases Ryan Singer’s
“How to Get High Without Drugs”
Ryan Singer
“Born and raised in a dysfunctional Catholic family only to later become a public school teacher, Ryan Singer’s perspective is as wide as his life experience. He uses his love of the English language to tackle difficult topics with an easy touch. His comedy is sometimes dangerous, always ridiculous and even a little smart…maybe. Someday he hopes to have his own collectors’ cup. He has appeared on the nationally syndicated radio show Bob & Tom and was a regional finalist in Comedy Central’s Open Mic Fight.” (article courtesy of Go Bananas).
We caught Ryan Singer’s act at Go Bananas and we can testify (along with a room of a hundred or so) this guy has the gift of comedy. His “true life” style of stand up makes a mockery out of most joke teller comedians. After a few minutes with the man you get the sense he just may be telling the truth and that’s what makes it even funnier. Ryan weaves his experiences with relationships, family and a previous elementary school teacher background into tales that had us teary eyed with laughter.
His CD release “How to get high without drugs” is worth buying to be certain. You can hear a few of our favorite cuts on our site (eastsidevibe.com/ryansinger).
He’s also on youtube. Check it out!
Look for Ryan on the Go Bananas schedule and don’t forget to check out all the other comedians coming in January. It’s going to be a hot month at Go Bananas
