Sittin’ on the dock of the bay was a huge hit for Otis Reading. I
suspect he was sitting someplace just like the beautiful setting of Rivertowne.
Floating on the Ohio river, Rivertowne is Eastsides riverboat bar & grill.
The bar has live music, awesome scenery and easy access from the water.
We hung out there on a nice sunny day and sampled the cakes($7.25). Huge,
bigger than my hand they were great! We ordered the fish sandwich ($9.70
with fries) and a Natchez Mississippi flat bread ($4.95). Sort of a pizza
but better, chicken, onions, peppers a nice twist on an old favorite. The
fish really had me wishing I had ordered two it was so good. Crispy breading,
soft supple and flaky inside. Lucky for us it was Wednesday, which meant
$1 beers. I noticed a large amount of take out orders being picked up, so
the locals must love it. I plan on hanging out on the deck and listening
to the bands fairly often this summer.
