Pub Grub
Odell's Sports Bar And Restaurant
4343 1/2 Kellogg Ave 321 2333
The downtown scene is now defunct but the suburbs are soaking up the
investors that have fled the foul city streets in search of a more prosperous
place to set up shop. Remember Charlie’s On Main downtown? It was a popular
little pub in Cincy’s ex entertainment district...well the owners of
Charlie's have relocated to Kellogg Ave. (in front of Annies).
They came to the conclusion that making the move to the Eastside would be
the best place in Cincy to open another pub, and we welcome the new edition.
Odells (named after one of the owners) is getting underway establishing a
regular crowd. Offering live bands on the weekends and sports events through
the weekdays was the first order of business. Getting the kitchen open and
cooking up breakfast, lunch and dinner topped off the owners recipe for success.
The griddle sets warmed up in the early a.m. so the breakfast menu starts
getting served at 7:30. To get your morning grub going you can choose from
omelettes, pancakes, breakfast platters, egg plates and other favorites.
By noon the early bird pub grubbers can grab a plate of perfectly cooked
to order burgers, assorted sandwiches and appetizers. The kitchen keeps it
goin’ all night to take care of the crowd’s appetites worked
up from all that dancing, til the bar closes (at 1AM).
The menu is standard pub fare aside from the breakfast, straight forward
and cooked to order, but get this....99% of the entire menu is under $6 !
This pub is aimed to please the hungry crowd and still keep your check down
to a minimum. In fact, I doubt two people could even eat enough to get the
check up to $20 if they tried. On top of the already cheap prices Odells
has specials spanning the monthly calendar for things like “Annies
pre-concert parties” and holiday parties. The bar has a fresh clean
look and it is thoroughly staffed with friendly faces.
So whether you are there to play darts, pool or just jam with the band Odells
is keepin’ it cool and casual. Remember these guys have decades of
experience running a popular pub so Odells is sure to be around many o’ years
years to come. Welcome to Eastside Mark and Odell we’re glad to have
you!
