Mim’s Pizza is a story worth mentioning. It all started 7 years ago when Shane & Amber Chambers saved every spare dollar from their job at the (Williamsburg & Mt. Orab) Grandma's Pizza. They worked hard making money for the Grandma's family, but all the while they were saving and dreaming of the day the profits from their labors would end up in their pockets.
Finally the right opportunity presented itself when the old Angilos location in Owensville became available. It was perfect, it came complete with equipment and the price was right. The Chamber’s wasted no time. With help from friends (Big Joe & Sarah Smith) they made the leap and now they spend their day’s (and nights) catering to their customers.
Mim’s is not just a pizza parlor either. They serve wings, salads, hoagies, fish, appetizers, Empress Chili, dinners and burgers. They even have an $8 1 pounder giant named the “All American”. One pound of Angus beef, 2 layers of bacon, lettuce, tomato & cheese on a (heavily weighted) Kaiser bun. They also have homemade lasagne, make their own dough, sauces and basically everything they can daily, including desserts.
This month they are opening up at 7 am and serving breakfast as well. Obviously Mim’s is much more than pizza, it’s a family restaurant. Don’t discount the pies though, one EV staffer thought the pizza was akin to LaRosas or even better. That’s quite a compliment. Burger fans need to see this All American!
