Changes in Latitudes brings changes in attitude.

Latitudes Cafe

When Latitudes Milford first opened we were impressed with the modern decor. The whole place had a fresh 2006 look to it, much more at home in Vegas than in Milford.
Now it is 2008 and keeping up to date was important to the crew of the good ship Latitudes so a refresh & refit was called to order.
You may think, “a total makeover after only two years?” Well it’s not because Latitude’s customers broke the place up or because the staff never cleaned and let it go to sh#t. It’s because Latitudes has always been on the cutting edge of cool and they intend to stay that way.

Some places never get this much treatment in 20 years let alone 2 (you all know one). Some people just take it for granted the place looks fine or they use the old “if it ain’t broke don’t fix it” excuse. Well, ancient decor, rotten bathrooms and wore out flooring wasn’t what inspired Latitudes, like I said it looked pretty hip already. What inspired them is the belief that patrons come in to enjoy an entire dining experience, not just to quench their food and drink cravings.
You can get decent dishes elsewhere, other bars stock fine wine and top shelf liquors, there are live bands playing all over town so what makes Latitudes different? Attention to detail.
If you look around you notice how much the staff cares about the lighting, the view, the art, the music and the ambiance. Of course back in the kitchen they’re caring about the freshness, the preparation, the presentation and the flavor.

The combined efforts create an experience that every diner can appreciate, enjoy and want to come back for. Some say Latitudes popularity is in the food. Chef driven menus and fresh fish flown in from Hawaii is above par sure but, what about the bar with all it’s hand picked vino and world class liquors? Lest not forget the staff who can guide you through your selections so you never have to be disappointed.

Bottom line is it takes them all and it takes all their efforts to keep up this level of dining experience. Many hundreds of hours and thousands of dollars are at work behind the scenes to make your night perfect. Why? Well just go get a table tonight and you’ll understand why.

And As If That Wasn't Enough...

Latitudes finally decided to share their culinary creations with the rest of us by catering private events. Weddings, anniversaries, barmitzvas, you name it. Just look at this birthday party event (Bradenpalooza III). The birthday boy (Braden Hamm) was a mere three years old so I doubt he appreciated the level of expertise that went in to his party cuisine, (nevertheless he had a fine time), however the adults were well aware the feast to be was going to be great. The kid’s were first treated to Fruity Pebble/ Cocoa Pebble Rice Crispy squares, tropical fruit kabobs with marsh mellow sauce, mac & cheese and dinosaur nuggets with Latitudes signature BBQ sauce. The food and decor was all dinosaur themed making it even more fun for the tots.

The adults and big kids started off by helping themselves in the dining room to a spectacular spread of: a broccoli slaw (a Latitudes signature dish), bow tie pasta with feta cheese, and an unique Italian torte. The torte is created by layering basil pesto, roasted red pepper pesto, ricotta cheese and sun dried tomato crustini. Then it’s wrapped in thick provolone, formed into a ball, chilled and served in sliced wedges (like pie). The French dip cold cut platter (pictured) was piled high with roasted beef tenderloin served with thicken au` jus, jarlsberg cheese and crustinis with horseradish sour cream. The adult table also shared the same tropical fruit kabobs as the kids table with one slight difference, they’re marinated in brandy and white & red wine (for quite some time).

Outside the chefs were grilling baby back ribs w/their signature BBQ sauce, Ahi Tuna burgers, Venison burgers, Cajun chicken sandwiches and giant turkey legs (Dino legs to the kids) all were served with home made condiments like hot mustard and wasabi mayo. It was beautiful and just think... that’s the spread at a 3 year old’s birthday party people! Just imagine what chef Dan would dish up at your wedding, anniversary or any special event.
Rates are reasonable ($20 per person average) and quality is stellar. Now you can enjoy Latitudes culinary treats at your home or event, just call the restaurant 233-9888. Ask for chef Dan.
