Indian Oven in Newtown is still basically new but they are already getting a devoted following. The lunch buffet has been so popular they decided to put an itemized daily buffet menu list on their ad so everyone could pick the day to dine when they have your favorites on the steam tables.
The buffet is a steal at $6.59, it’s msg and processed food free plus it’s always fresh and delicious. Perfect for vegetarians with plenty of chicken, fish and lamb selections for carnivores as well. The veggie dishes are so good at Indian Oven it almost makes you consider giving up meat. I’m not quite ready for that but I do primarily eat veggie when I dine at the Indian Oven.
Perhaps the best thing of all about the little Indian restaurant is the people, the folks that run the Oven are the kindest hosts you’ll ever have, it makes me sad I can’t thank them in their own language, Immigrants really love it when we make the effort to speak in their language. I can’t say “thanks you guys are great” yet but I can say hello... it’s pronounced Nah-mah-stay.
