Served VERY old and stale taco shells and when told the waitress she said without expression: You want soft tacos instead? (My son doesn't like soft tacos, that's why he ordered hard tacos) I tried his and so did another in our party. We had to spit it out. Obviously very very stale. I later told the waitress that she ought to tell the chef the taco shells are stale. She said nothing, brought us the bill, didn't bother to take them off the bill even though they were not edible. Overall, food was very average, place not clean, and I did not see one waiter or waitress smile the entire time I was there. I love Mexican food, SKIP this dive.

This could be a long review, but I'll try to keep it short. Our waitress was friendly our food was fine. That being said, we had gift certificates that expire in Dec. It's May. They haven't expired but the restaurant would not honor them. The owner was out of town, but another waitress and the owner's mother, neither whom speak much English, were incredibly rude. A waiter translated and was polite, but these two women were unbelievable. There was no sign about the gift certificates on the door we entered. We even told our waitress we had them and she said nothing. We ended up with a large bill to pay for. There were no apologies, just incredible rudeness. We will NOT be back and would not recommend them to our friends.

The service was lousy and the "owner" really didn't care that we were dissatisfied. We spent two hours in this restaurant and probably should not have wasted even a few minutes. The excuse that the owner gave us was that they were shorthanded but...

When we entered the restaurant it was less than 1/3rd of capacity. We were seated but were not given menus. We had to return to the hostess stand to get the 3 available menus for our table of 4. We ordered drinks which were delivered as our waiter passed our table on his way to another then had to flag him down to put in an appetizer order. We had to again flag him down to get additional drinks. We placed our meal order after sitting at our table for nearly 30 minutes. We had to go to the bar to get ice and water for our table and when our food finally arrived 2 of the 4 orders were incorrect. We had to return to the hostess stand to request additional tortillas. After our meal we were told by our waiter that he was too busy and we would have to take our checks to the cashier ourselves.

The margaritas were good but the food was bland and the service was terrible. If we had intended to wait on ourselves we would have remained home...WILL NOT RETURN and would NEVER recommend this restaurant to anyone.

When I first walked into this restaurant, I had low expectations due to the fact that I was greeted by three big "NOs" when I got past the door: (1) Pine Lysol smell, (2) A/C not working well, (3) bubble gum and trinket coin-operated dispensers in the lobby. I say this kind of humorously, but really, any combination of those three things usually means a restaurant that doesn't take the dining experience seriously.

Man, was I wrong.

This restaurant was an amazingly pleasant surprise. The food is fresh, well prepared, well proportioned and delicious. Prices are reasonable. The staff is very friendly and attentive. They have a nice large wooden deck with tables and umbrellas for enjoying the food (and excellent beverages) outside during the summer. The whole restaurant is clean and well maintained.I've been back several times, and the quality is consistent. I'm surprised I don't see more diners there ... this must be an undiscovered gem.

Oh, and the Pine Lysol scent is now gone (but as I said, the restaurant is clean) and the A/C is working well.
