Derrick Allen & Southern Junction

Derrick Allen was born Derrick Allen Cogswell in Falmouth, Ky and grew up on traditional country music & small town life. His debut CD on Broad Horixon Records, Inc. (Oct 2009) reflects that background with a contemporary sound.

Enlisting Jorden Bonar on Lead Guitar, Mick Seiter on Bass, and Scott Ferrell on drums, Derrick put together Southern Junction and has been playing all over the MidWest with showcases in Nashville, TN and Harrisburg, PA.
Some upcoming high profile shows include; The Ohio State Fair (July 29) Hamilton County Fair (Aug 14) Ohio Valley Country Showcase at Turfway PArk (Aug 21) and Goettafest at Newport on the Levee (Aug 28).

Derrick Allen & Southern Junction combine Contemporary & Classic Country with a Southern Rock blend for a sound & style all their own which they refer to as 'doing it Kentucky style'.

They are currently at work on the follow up to Derrick's solo disc & will be released under Derrick Allen & Southern Junction on Broad Horizon Records, Inc. in the Fall 2010. All songs are currently available on I Tunes, Amazon, Napster, Rhapsody and +40,000 jukeboxes nationally via TouchTunes - "Come See What All the Fuss is About!"

They were recently featured on Fox19 in the Morning (June 25) with an interview with Derrick and Live Broadcast of the full band playing 2 of their upcoming songs; County Roads and Southern Charm as well as Good Ol' Boy from Derrick's solo release which is getting moderate airplay on independent radio.
