Gyros (yee-rows) are fast becoming a favorite food in Cincy. A very basic sandwich consisting of a 50/50 combination of beef and lamb, pita bread, onions, tomatoes and topped off with Tzaki sauce, a yogurt or sourcream based creamy cucumber dressing. Sound simple? It should be. However, I’ve had good and bad. We picked Eastside’s Demetrios against Newport on the levee’s Mythos in this months East Vs. Newport gyro showdown.
