What’s Cookin’
Cafe Mediterranean
7454 Beechmont Ave. Suite 303 232-2400

Want to try something different for dinner? Check out the Cafe Mediterranean in the
Anderson Town Center. The cuisine is pure Turkish, the flavor is authentic and even the
gyro meat is made from scratch. I’m talking about scratch too people, just look
at the photo (above), that’s the chef making the gyro meat from fresh lamb, beef and spices. Now who do you know that can say that! It’s so impressive we even made a video of the whole process. I can’t think of a single other place that actually makes the gyro meat. Cafe Mediterranean serves the gyro Turkish style for dine in orders, for take out orders they serve it on a pita (sandwich style). Youcan try talking them into serving it “sandwich style” for your dine in order but they may insist “sandwich” gyros are take out only.

Just tell them EV sent ya and maybe they’ll let their “no dine in sandwich gyros” rule slide. It’s worth a try because they are something special. There are so many delicious dishes you may decide to order lamb chops (bottom right) or kabobs (bottom left) and get a gyro to go for tomorrow’s lunch. Speaking of lunch, noon is
a great time to try their Turkish delights at a cheap price. Most of the dinner items are available on the lunch menu for half the price of the dinner rates. Be sure to try the rice! It’s amazing, in fact it’s the best we’ve ever tasted.
