Buffalo Wings And Rings

Dinner with the kids can be a blessing or a curse. We headed out to Buffalo Wings & Rings to take advantage of their "kids eat free" special. The special is offered every Monday from 5-10. Kids can choose from a grilled cheese, chicken tenders, mini-corn dogs, or hot dog basket.
These aren't some skimpy whimpy kids crap basket either! Regardless of which one you choose it comes in a basket chock full of fresh cut fries.
The kids went with the chicken tenders (3), and the grilled cheese. Both were cooked perfectly and hot when they hit the table. The mere sight and smell of the food was enough to get the tikes to scrap the coloring crayons and dig in to dinner. Although the crayons and coloring papers were a nice distraction for the youngsters untill the food came out.
I opted for a gyro and fries while the Mrs. stayed safe with a grilled chicken salad. No hot wings here, although I do love them so. This time around we stayed off the sauce (bbq and otherwise) although the drafts at the next table looked like they liked me. It was well worth it though,
the eight bucks we saved was more than enough to take the rugrats next door to have some double chocolate ice cream cones (see Sweet Tooth) and that was a treat for all.
If the games on Monday they've got a big screen on. If mom doesn't mind you might even get to make a couple of those drafts come sit at your table. After all you are saving eight dollars anyway so you could splurge for that drink or dessert and still make it out under $20. That's a deal!
We are gonna keep checking out the Eastside for more kids meal deals but I doubt we're gonna find any better than this. We noticed that while the Beechmont and Milford locations offer this same kids meal deal,
not all of the franchises participate, so call ahead to see before you go. Give the manager a shout in the ear if they don't do the deal, because feedin' kids for free is a great way to make the parents come in with or with out the lil' hellions.
