“The Ultimate 70’s and 80’s dance club”

Boogie Nights
Hollywood Casino | Lawrenceburg Indiana

Studio 54 may have had an A-List Hollywood clientele but Boogie Nights offers the same scene to everyone. The top floor Hollywood Casino night club is decked out in the decadent style of the 70’s & 80’s New York dance clubs. The staff is decked out too. The guys and gals of this pleasure palace look like they just time warped straight out of Studio 54. Much effort has gone into re-creating that velvet rope experience that captivated the nation in the 70’s. It was swinger sex parties, 8-track disco, bell bottoms, sideburns, platform shoes, crushed velvet and cocaine. Some would say the age personified the word party. Boogie Nights personifies that term too.

Entering the club you go past a lounge then down the escalator. Even before you get on the steps you see the massive illuminated dance floor platform. A sea of people seem to fill every inch of space in the club. As the escalator disappears into the floor you’re left standing still on the edge of the party. Go right, you find a bar and dance floor side seating. Go left, your eyes feast on the folks living it up in the roped off VIP areas. The VIP area lines the walls around the dance floor that nearly encompasses the entire club. Keep going, now your deep in a sea of flesh. Squeeze your way to the center of the dance floor and you’re lost in a sexy tangle of legs, ladies, short skirts and skin. The smell of perfume and sweat fill the air. Now, you’re there. This is what it’s all about. But wait, the music stops. Spotlights light a stage above the DJ booth... a man in black emerges out of the shadows, everyone watches anxiously. The music morphs, the man jumps into the light and turns, facing the crowd, face hidden under a fedora. Then he springs up in the air flings the hat off and,,, it’s Michael Jackson! (well, almost). He damn sure dances like the pop king and the show stops all in their tracks as they stare up at the impressive impersonation. All movement on the dance floor stills as the King of Pop shudders, shakes, slides and slivers to Michael’s top pop tracks.
After “Michael” Moonwalks his way off stage you find you’re thirsty and the martinis look too good to leave alone any longer. There are bars on both sides and lovely ladies man drink stations in-between. Surprisingly, even with a several hundred person crowd you can quench that craving quickly. Drink in hand, you may choose to peruse the perimeter and take in the sights. If you’re looking for sexy ladies groovin’ just look above the DJ booth. There you’ll find hot go-go girls with plenty of go-go to go around, and they don’t mind guys gawking at all.
Before you even go you’d best dress to impress. The club is “come one come all” but that doesn’t necessarily mean “come straight from work” (unless you work at De Ja Vu). If you want to see and be seen, leave the jeans in the dryer. This is pomp decadence. It’s velvet rope-dancing queen all night long. You’ll feel like a minnow in a sea of sharks if you show up in khakis & a Tee.

If you do work at De Ja Vu take advantage of Boogie Night’s Service Industry Night. All casino & service industry employees are treated like VIPs on Thursdays, show your ID and get in free. On the weekends you’ll pay $10 at the door (except special events and such).
To get your gang in the “cooler than you” VIP area call 888-274-6797 to book your package (4 to choose from $175-$400). You’d be wise to book it well in advance. See the Hollywood Casino Boogie Nights site for events and VIP package pricing information (www.hollywoodindiana.com/sitemng/ents).
It’s been a long time since people could be convinced to drive a half hour or more to go out to a dance club. But then again it’s been a long time since there has been one with this much gusto to go-go to. They bill it as “The Ultimate 70’s & 80’s Dance Club” and we see no reason to argue that.

Went Friday night with my sister, loved it, the much fun we have ever had sober, but that's because the drink prices were outrages! We plan on going back tonight if we can get in
waste of time

Way too crowded, hot, expensive drinks, and the workers look like hookers. There is no where to sit, and the dance floor is way too small.

I guess that to receive the loans from creditors you must have a great motivation. Nevertheless, once I have got a student loan, just because I was willing to buy a building.

This is the place to go if you like HOT BEER! and RUDE STAFF. They don't respect their customer's that's for sure. I won't be a repeat with this dump! Who charges 15.00 at the door. Then you buy a 5.00 beer and it's HOT. You have no where to sit or stand. If you want to feel welcomed in a buisness. Stay close to home and don't drive and hour to be treated like criminals.

Reserved a "VIP room" (or so I was told) for a party, but felt very manipulated into thinking it was something it was not. I was told we would get a room with our bartender as long as we spent almost 300. Also told with VIP we got in without waiting in line. Reserved it on my card, but when we arrived, not at all what was told. We waited in line for close to 45 minutes because others were being let in front of us by staff. We never got a room, just a table with some chairs. We had a bartender come to our table once in a while, but mostly we went to the bar and stood in line like every other non "VIP" person who did not have to spend this amount. And to top it off, we were forced to spend at least 200 bucks on the reserved card by buying alcohol in bulk. This meant, a bottle of liquor and buckets of beer. THe cheapest bottle of liquor was 150 and we added 10 beers for the additional 50. What a rip off.. very disappointed and think we will just have a kick [beep] party at home with cheaper boos and a CD with 80s music.

Saw the hottest guy ever there Friday night! It was a good time although I have to agree the drinks were a little expensive.

Went on a Thursday night (Dec. 30, 2010) because there was no cover charge (Friday is $10.00 and Saturday is $15.00). The music early on was great and the variety was wonderful. Around 11:00 p.m. or so there wasn't so much variety and too much of today's "club" music was being played. I would have liked more seating available around the dance floor and not so much of the VIP areas. Also, the drink prices were outrageous to me and I wasn't even the person paying the tab! Of late, they are only open 1 Thursday a month and they've had some kind of "special thing/bands" so they are charging to get in! NOT A FAN OF THIS! Tonight (a Thursday) it's a "Naughty or Nice Pajama Party"...if you don't wear your pajamas you have to pay $10.00. I can't justify that any way I look at it!

I LOVE this place! This is the best place i have been to in quite a while. Its awesome to see all ages dancing together, from 21 all the way up to 80's! The last time i went there were 20/30 somethings breakdancing right along with some 50 yr olds plus doing their thing right next to them! LOVE IT!!! The main bad thing is the price of drinks! This is a casino people! Why do you have to OVER PAY for drinks?? Comeon! Other then that...LOVE IT!!!

I'd love to be able to find info on Boogie Nights on the web, but there is none to be found!!! It would be nice if Hollywood Casino's website would have a section for Boogie Nights detailing the cost to get in, VIP options, hours of operation, etc
